Larry Grossman's Retrovisions art has been exhibited in many prestigious locations. Below are several examples of both current and recent shows. Top row: Paramount Studios recently invited Larry to exhibit his work in their Executive Dining Room. For this show Larry created his "The Return of Norma Desmond" picture, featuring the famous Paramount gate, as depicted in the 1950 Paramount film "Sunset Blvd.". Second row: The historic Culver City Studios, formerly the David O. Selznick, RKO, and Desilu Studios, respectively (and where "Gone with the Wind" and "Citizen Kane" were both filmed), invited Larry to exhibit his "Movie Palace" images during special industry screenings of a newly restored digital version of "Gone with the Wind". Third row: The world famous Cinerama Dome/Arclight Cinemas in Hollywood invited Larry to exhibit his work for three months in both it's upstairs and downstairs galleries, simultaneously. They also commissioned Larry to create and publish his "Cinerama Dome" litho, which they continue to sell in their gift shop, along with all of Larry's "Movie Palace" images. Bottom row: 1.) For the past two years Larry has exhibited and sold his work at the prestigious Beverly Hills "Affair in the Gardens" Art Festival. 2.) The Turner Classics Movie Store (now closed) at "The Grove" in Los Angeles displayed Larry's "Movie Palace" lithos and Giclees in their front windows. 3.) Legendary "King of the Kar Kustomizers" George Barris invited Larry to join him (they're old friends) at his booth at the "Viva Las Vegas" Car Show & Rockabilly festival. 4.) The Historic Theatre Society of America held it's annual convention at the historic Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel (site of the 1st Academy Awards ceremony), and invited Larry to participate and display his work.. |
